Good Job - Landcast 11:44, 18 Jun 2005 (CEST)

Some may have noticed that i havent been here in a week.. ( been stress at work ), but from today it all slows down for a while so i will be back helping out again. We should try to get some screens off the Tier armor off each profession.

Have a greate weekend. :)

The text is way to uber - Angels 10:20, 9 Jun 2005 (CEST)

The last thing we need is a uberness profession VS uberness profession talk. Where is the clean, correct information about engineers? Shall newcomers choose an engineer, because they are informed or they get the believe Engineers are the most uber profession (which isn't true :) ) in AO. Would somebody change the text to contain more information and less uberness? (i can't do, cause i don't have any knowledge about engineers). Thanks alot.

Agreed - Vhab 10:25, 9 Jun 2005 (CEST)

I agree with angels here, engineer isn't as uber as shown here.
Infact, endgame they can't solo that much at all.

Yup --Baffle 11:59, 9 Jun 2005 (CEST)

Yep. The profession descriptions should be much more general. Personal opinions about a profession should never be added, and especially not statements about how uber a profession is. Just stick to the genreal information about a professoin. What tools are available, the nature of the profession and maybe list some of the most common items. Remember that Anarchy Online change over time. Uberness or not.. its not relevant information.

layout --Landcast 14:49, 9 Jun 2005 (CEST)

We should make some sort off standard on what each off the professions can do. Also make the layout of each off them look like each other.

Question --Habitue 12:34, 5 Jun 7890 (CEST)

Why is there more on the talk page than on the actual information page?

UPDATED! --Habitue 15:57, 17 Jun 2005 (CEST)

Ok, now this page is Lookin' SO GOOD! I copied and pasted from the German version!
P.S. thanks to JamisonK for fixing machine translation errors. :)

green psychic Basemetal 18:08, 17 Jun 2005 (CEST)

"Psychic skill is also worthwhile for the engineer because it is green ..." it's only green if engi are nanomage..
nanoskills is actually 80% int, not 50% ..most tradeskills is afaik 50% int (or more?)
Multi Ranged is not cheap at all, it is as darkblue a skill can get really...

Work to do[]

Basically, now we have a good starting point to work from. It's always a bit intimidating filling in the first info, since you're not sure what to include. From here we have a skeleton that can be expanded upon, for example including the actual skill color data. If we do a good job, perhaps the other professions will be filled out with a similarly large amount of information.

Ok, this is my roadmap for this article, if anyone wants to input some of this info, You would be helping out a lot (I will of course be trying to put all this in as I can):

  • Parts of Engineer Tier armor (clan and omni)
  • Which advents/wills/visions, as well as all of the glyphs needed(since they can be bought)
  • A listing of all of the skill colors, Objective data, not vague memories.
  • perhaps some nice graphics of engineers.
  • This guide currently seems to be from the era right after SL was released, it's heavily weighted towards original Rubi-Ka, and a lot of information seems outdated. For example... martial arts is no longer considered the viable path it used to be.
  • A listing of important Engineer only items.
  • A listing of The engineer perks, AI and SL
  • A section on tradeskill items, (this may be another article altogether, but it should be linked from here at least)
  • A reference area as far as symbiants go, stating that we are in the Control Unit, and where to obtain patterns for the symbiants we need.
  • A section on VIABLE weapons for the engineer to use. AKA not the Lizard ND Shotgun, but rather Bacam-Xum, Kyr'Ozch Grenade, Flux pistol, Desert Reet...
  • Comparison of how armor compares to each other, aka Chosen Chest VS. Combined Officer Chest
  • Useful towers? Definitely the engineer article will have heavy links to tradeskill articles.
That's all I can think of at the moment, but basically, I'm seeing way to much talk about simple things that could be changed. This IS a wiki, if something in the article looks obviously wrong, FIX IT. If you think the change you are making is particularly controversial, MAKE THE CHANGE and add a justification to the talk page. It can always be changed later if it's wrong or everyone hates it or something. :)

I think seperating the skill chart into the various skill categories would make it easier to read. JamisonK 01:15, 18 Jun 2005 (CEST)
It looks much better now JamisonK 17:46, 20 Jun 2005 (CEST)

Great work[]

Very nice layout. Shamelessly pasting the Skills layout to the MP section.
